The Department of Management Sciences is pleased to announce that Mr. Sami Ullah has successfully defended his PhD dissertation in Management Sciences under supervision of Dr. Hamid Ullah, Assistant professor, Department of Management Sciences,  Islamia College Peshawar. The public defence was held on Friday, November 7 2025 before the departmental examination committee, external reviewers including Professor Dr. Sajjad Ahmad, Dean Faculty of Management and Information Sciences and Professor Dr. Mehboob Ur Rasheed from Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar. A large number of participants from banking industry, business schools and faculty attended the defence seminar.

Mr. Sami Ullah’s research, titled “Exploring Motivation and Barriers for Green Banking Practices in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: A stakeholders perspective,” makes a significant contribution to the field of Management Sciences by addressing critical issues related to green banking specifically in the context of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The study was commended by the examination panel for its methodological rigor, theoretical depth, and practical relevance.

The Department extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Sami Ullah on this outstanding academic achievement. His success reflects the Department’s commitment to fostering high-quality research that contributes meaningfully to knowledge and practice in the field of management.
