The Graduate Studies Committee, Department of English, in its meeting held on 18th August, 2020 has decided to conduct tests and interviews of the pending applicants for M. Phil (list notified) for two separate programs in linguistics and literature, as per the given details.
Test Date: Wednesday, September 2, 2020
Time: 10 am to 11 am.
Venue: Takbeer Hall, Islamia College Peshawar
Note: Separate tests will be conducted for linguistics and literature, and each candidate shall come for the test with a clear choice between the two. Please don’t forget to bring your original CNIC for identification, without which no one shall be admitted to the hall. Also make sure to follow COVID-19 prevention SOP’s like wearing mask, avoiding physical contact and sanitization, etc.
The test is only for the notified eligible applicants (who applied timely for the spring semester2020), and no fresh applicants shall be considered.
Date of interviews will be notified later.
This is a tentative schedule, which could be amended due to any unavoidable circumstances. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep themselves updated by regularly visiting the University’s website.
In view of shortage of teachers and some other constraints, the Graduate Studies Committee has decided to defer PhD admissions till the situation improves.
