Recognition of the Department of Shariah & Law

It is notified for the information of all the concern that Department of Shariah & Law, Islamia College Peshawar is recognized by the august Pakistan Bar Council on April 14, 2012.

The meeting between the Faculty Members of the Department and Members of the Pakistan Bar Council was held on Saturday in the Supreme Court Building Islamabad. Members of the Pakistan Bar Council satisfied themselves by asking different questions from the Faculty members and scrutinizing relevant documents.

The meeting ended in a good note. The Council recognized the Department of Shariah & Law. It will enable the outgoing students of the Department to get their name enrolled with Bar Council for getting license and to start apprenticeship after their final exam.

The Department is grateful to Pakistan Bar Council for showing magnanimity;  Mr. Rooh ul Amin Chamkani (Member Pakistan Bar Council) for his tireless efforts; Professor Dr Nasibdar Muhammad (Dean Faculty of Religious & Legal Studies) for his staunch support; last but not the least Mr. Faisal Shahzad (Coordinator) and Mr. Daud Zahid (Lecturer) for their unwavering support and painstaking job of visiting and making necessary arrangements for meeting with members of Pakistan Bar Council as and when was required.
