DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY

We say welcome to all students interested in Zoology. Zoology Department of Islamia College is working from gross root level to the top. We teach courses right from F.Sc, BS (4 year), M.Sc and MS/M.phil to Ph.D level. The department was established on 01-10-1922. The department in the past 90 years has produced class students for, Medicine, Agriculture, Veterinary, Education and Civil Services.

Presently we have a best team of 12 very dynamic faculty members. There are three PhD faculty in the department and rest of the members either have completed their M.phil or in the stage of completion. One of our faculty members has left for PhD to Seoul University Korea, last year and 4 other members are expected to leave for PhD abroad in near future.

We have a very good Museum and animal house and are working hard to equip our laboratories for research facilities. We facilitate and encourage our students at every stage.

We want to see the department as one of the best department at least in the country in the near future.
